Basketball Recap: McDaniel Takes a Loss

McDaniel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 79-21 defeat at the hands of the Jefferson Democrats. While losing is never fun, the Mountain Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Democrats are ranked fifth).

McDaniel's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Jefferson, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-2.

Coming up, McDaniel will head out to take on Ida B. Wells at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will square off against Grant at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Grant likes a good challenge.
