Softball Recap: MacArthur Triumphs

MacArthur won the last time they faced Legacy Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Generals came out on top in a nail-biter against Legacy Christian, sneaking past 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.

Maya Sanchez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Vivian Reyes was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Trinity Chacon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

MacArthur was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2025.

The win got MacArthur back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, MacArthur will face off against Dekaney at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Legacy Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
