Basketball Game Preview: Tolman/Shea vs. Westerly Bulldogs

Tolman/Shea will face off against the Westerly Bulldogs on Friday. Tolman/Shea is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Tolman/Shea is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Cranston West, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Tolman/Shea was ranked 19th). Tolman/Shea fell just short of Cranston West by a score of 56-54 back in February.

Meanwhile, Westerly and North Kingstown squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Westerly had to settle for second. They took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skippers.

Despite the defeat, Westerly saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ella Reyes dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Reyes is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kate Rafferty was another key player, putting up four points and six boards.

Tolman/Shea's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Westerly, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.
