Foothill extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Heritage. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Patriots 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Foothill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 15-25, 26-24, 27-25, 15-13.

Quinn Kacalek paced Foothill's offense, picking up 18 kills. Kacalek got some help from Jaymes Arnold and her 31 assists.

Heritage's loss came despite strong showings from Gigi Ramones and Megan King. Ramones had 15 digs and three aces, while King had six digs and three aces. Ramones is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Foothill's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Heritage, their defeat ended a 15-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 24-11.

Foothill has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Shasta on the 13th. Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
