Football Recap: Kennedy Keeps Canyon's Under Pressure

Kennedy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 29-21 victory over the Canyon Cowboys.

Diego Montes went supernova, rushing for 145 yards and one score on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 209 yards and one TD.

Another reason for the win was Kennedy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Kennedy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Canyon, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Kennedy has already played their next match, a 23-16 win against Granada Hills Charter on the 12th. As for Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 58-0 defeat against Crespi on the 12th.
