Football Recap: Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats vs. Woodsboro Eagles
Bloomington had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed by the Woodsboro Eagles on the road to the tune of 48-14 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats/Lady Cats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bloomington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kennylee Flood, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Flood got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible61 yards. Amari Gardner also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bloomington was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 403 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since back in August of 2023.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomington will venture away from home to face off against Louise at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodsboro, they are taking a road trip to take on Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
