Basketball Recap: Dilley Wolves vs. Lytle Pirates
Dilley extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 5-25. They were beaten by the Lytle Pirates 94-57. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 86-51 back in January.

Despite the loss, Dilley saw an underclassman step up: freshman Anthony Franklin posted 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Franklin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Kinsey, who had 18 points.
As for Lytle, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Chase Guevara, who almost dropped a double-double with 35 points and nine boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Seth Pierce was another key player, putting up 14 points and six steals.
Dilley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-66 defeat against Hondo on the 17th. As for Lytle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 76-36 victory against Poteet on the 16th.
