Basketball Recap: Olympia Takes a Loss

Olympia played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 77-42 defeat at the hands of the Williamsville Bullets. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Bullets: they've now lost six in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Williamsville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Saling, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Carson Doran, who went 6 of 13 en route to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.

Olympia's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Williamsville, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1.

Olympia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-38 loss against Eureka on the 1st. As for Williamsville, they will venture away from home to square off against Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Williamsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.8 points per game this season.
