It was a good run, but Sunny Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Fountain Valley Barons. If the Lancers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Barons when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Fountain Valley scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21.

Sunny Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Fountain Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Sunny Hills has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against San Juan Hills on the 1st. As for Fountain Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Troy on the 29th.
