Buckeye came tearing into Friday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 44-38 win over the Bunkie Panthers. This was payback for Buckeye, who suffered a 61-28 loss the last time these two teams met.

Buckeye is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Bunkie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

As for Bunkie, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lafayette Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Lafayette Christian Academy will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Bunkie surely won't give up without a fight.
