Softball Game Preview: Three Forks Wolves vs. Anaconda Copperheads

Three Forks is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will head out to face off against the Anaconda Copperheads at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Three Forks blew Thompson Falls out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Thompson Falls got their revenge. Three Forks fell just short of Thompson Falls by a score of 12-10.

Meanwhile, Anaconda had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Florence-Carlton, falling 16-1. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Everything went Three Forks' way against Anaconda when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Three Forks made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Three Forks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
