Softball Recap: Twentynine Palms Wildcats vs. Yucca Valley Trojans
Twentynine Palms had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 13-8 to make it five. They fell just short of the Yucca Valley Trojans by a score of 3-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Wildcats' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Jenica Silvas was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases.
Silvas wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mariah Coriaarmenta, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
As for Yucca Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since May 7, 2024.
