Softball Recap: Murphy Takes a Loss

Murphy fell victim to Saraland and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 17-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost five in a row.

Murphy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Saraland, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Coming up, Murphy will venture away from home to challenge Davidson at 4:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Saraland, they will challenge Blount at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Leopards have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season.
