Volleyball Recap: Goose Creek Memorial Comes Up Short

Goose Creek Memorial lost against Dickinson back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-18, 25-11.

Carrine Bouie paced Goose Creek Memorial's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bouie got some help from Lanae DuBose and her 30 assists. Finally, DuBose was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Goose Creek Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Dickinson, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Goose Creek Memorial will face off against Alief Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Dickinson, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Columbus on the 30th.
