Conneaut Area took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Cochranton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Conneaut Area Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cochranton Cardinals 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won seven games in a row dating back to last season.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Conneaut Area who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-16, 15-25, 15-7.

Conneaut Area's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, Conneaut Area and Cochranton will both be playing Saegertown the next time they take the court. Conneaut Area will host Saegertown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Cochranton will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on April 2nd.
