Softball Game Preview: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins vs. Barnstable Red Hawks

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional has gone a perfect 10-0 against Barnstable recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dolphins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Falmouth on Wednesday, falling 26-19. The Dolphins have struggled against the Clippers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Emily Ormon was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Barnstable was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to Nauset Regional.

Barnstable's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.
