Softball Recap: Covington Chargers vs. Houston Mustangs        
        
		
            
 Covington fell victim to Houston and their airtight pitching crew  on Saturday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 6-0 walloping at the hands of the Houston Mustangs. Covington's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the  squad, making it seven in a row.
 Covington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Madison Hamm, who  went 2-for-4 with a  double.
 On Houston's side,  Elizabeth Cleveland made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Cleveland was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with a  double.
 In other pitching news,  Maeve Badoud looked comfortable as she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits.
 Back at the plate, Houston let  Maddie McClure and  Skye Ebersole loose on the outfield. McClure  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while  Ebersole  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.  Alivia Ramirez was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing three bases.
 Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Houston, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington is on the road again  on Monday to play Halls at 5:00  p.m. As for Houston, they will  face off against Crockett County at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams will come into the  match having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
