Recap: Plainview Indians vs. Lone Grove Longhorns
Even though the Lone Grove Longhorns scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the Plainview Indians still came out on top. Plainview managed a 65-59 victory over Lone Grove. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Plainview also won the last time the pair played on January 9th.
Plainview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacelyn Hammon, who scored 15 points along with six assists. Marya Southerland was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Plainview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Lone Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.
Plainview will be playing at home against Sulphur at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sulphur will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Plainview is ranked 72nd). As for Lone Grove, they will head out on the road to challenge Madill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
