Basketball Recap: River Road Comes Up Short

River Road lost against Stratford back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The River Road Wildcats received a blow as they fell 53-38 to the Stratford Elks. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Stratford's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Lantelme, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Lantelme also racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Kooper Walden, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

River Road's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Stratford, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

River Road didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 86-42 win against Sanford-Fritch on the 20th. As for Stratford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 41-22 victory against Vega on the 20th.
