Volleyball Recap: Cardinal Mooney Triumphs

Cardinal Mooney won the last time they faced Fort Myers and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 win over the Green Wave. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Cardinal Mooney found their leader in sophomore Samantha Lewis, who had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Lewis.

Cardinal Mooney's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Fort Myers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Cardinal Mooney didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Marco Island Academy on the 4th. As for Fort Myers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Lemon Bay on the 4th.
