Soccer Game Preview: Lake Norman Charter vs. Community School of Davidson

The Lake Norman Charter Knights will face off against the Community School of Davidson Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake Norman Charter's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Lake Norman Charter didn't have quite enough to beat Lincoln Charter and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, Lake Norman Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Lincoln Charter are ranked 36th).

Shreyas Polishetty and Jayce Ferris scored both of Lake Norman Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Community School of Davidson didn't have quite enough to beat Pine Lake Prep on Wednesday and fell 4-3.

Lake Norman Charter dropped their record down to 4-8-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Community School of Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.
