Castle had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Moanalua Menehune on Wednesday. The win was just what Castle needed coming off of a 13-1 defeat in their prior game.
The team relied heavily on Makana Freitas, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and a double.
Castle's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castle will take on Farrington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Moanalua, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Roosevelt at 3:00 p.m.
