Pueblo Central posted their biggest victory since December 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs 76-44. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tayvon Evans was his usual excellent self, putting up 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024. Ladamien Davis was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 16 boards.

Pueblo Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The win (which was Pueblo Central's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Pueblo Centennial, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Pueblo Central has already played their next match, an 87-70 victory against Pueblo South on the 6th. As for Pueblo Centennial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Pueblo East on the 6th.
