Clark Fork extends road losing streak to four

The Clark Fork Wampus Cats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 80-25 loss at the hands of Bonners Ferry. Clark Fork was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bonners Ferry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taren Bateman, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and three steals. The match was Bateman's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Asha Abubakari, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds.

Clark Fork bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.0 points per game. As for Bonners Ferry, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clark Fork will be home for the holidays to greet Wallace at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bonners Ferry will take on Kellogg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Kellogg sitting on four straight victories and Bonners Ferry on three.
