Baseball Recap: Thorndale Picks Up 15th Straight Win on the Road

While Thorndale's win against Bartlett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Thorndale narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bartlett 7-6. The win was nothing new for Thorndale as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Pedro Jimenez and Nathan Grimm did most of the damage at the plate: Jimenez went 2-for-3 with one home run, while Grimm scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was Grimm's first of the season.

Thorndale's victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thorndale will take on Wimberley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bartlett, they will head out to take on Bremond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bremond has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.89 runs per game on average), something Bartlett will no doubt try to take advantage of.
