Volleyball Recap: Christian Learning Center's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Christian Learning Center unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Center Place Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss back in September.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14.

Blair Felt paced Christian Learning Center's offense, picking up five kills. Felt got some help from Stepheni Castleberry and her ten assists. Abby Jacobs controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Center Place found their leader in sophomore Josie Brown, who had nine assists and four digs. Heidi Lidberg was another key player, getting seven kills and two blocks.

Christian Learning Center's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Center Place, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-2-2 record this season.

Christian Learning Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Clinton Christian Academy on the 18th. As for Center Place, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Plaza Heights Christian Academy on the 18th.
