Basketball Game Preview: Pinecrest Academy Paladins vs. Fellowship Christian Paladins

Pinecrest Academy hasn't had much luck against Fellowship Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pinecrest Academy Paladins will venture away from home to challenge the Fellowship Christian Paladins at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Pinecrest Academy is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since February 2nd last Wednesday. They blew past Holy Spirit Prep 34-9. Given the Paladins' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Cougars are ranked 423rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fellowship Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cougars 76-13. The Paladins' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Pinecrest Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Fellowship Christian, their record is now 9-4.

Pinecrest Academy took a serious blow against Fellowship Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 58-28. Can Pinecrest Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
