Baseball Game Preview: Shorecrest Scots vs. Mountlake Terrace Hawks

Shorecrest is 0-10 against Mountlake Terrace since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Scots will take on the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Shorecrest sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Nathan Hale. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scots.

Shorecrest let Elyas Rojas and Quinn Burnham run wild. Rojas went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Burnham went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Burnham has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Mountlake Terrace duked it out with Arlington on Monday. The Hawks came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-3. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Nolan Valdivia was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braeden Davidson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Shorecrest's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Mountlake Terrace, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
