Bolton and East Windsor are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Bolton didn't have quite enough to beat East Granby and fell 9-7. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Josh Wagner was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Christopher Mattei, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Windsor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Parish Hill by a score of 8-5 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

Elias Jacobs and AJ Paradis made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Jacobs tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Paradis pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Jacobs has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season. At the plate, Jacobs scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Paradis scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Evan Witzke was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

East Windsor's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Bolton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bolton couldn't quite finish off East Windsor in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 and fell 5-3. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
