Jill Ryan posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

Ryan's effort led Verrado over Buckeye and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ryan has dominated as far as strikeouts are concerned (she's averaged 5.9 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering the Hawks have only allowed 4.13 per game this season.
