Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gunter). They breezed by the S & S Consolidated Rams to the tune of 73-32 on Tuesday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-11.

Despite the defeat, S & S Consolidated saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Donaven Gingras posted 11 points. The dominant performance gave Gingras a new career-high in points.

Gunter has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for S & S Consolidated, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-23.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Gunter Tigers take on the Bells Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bells is on a three-game streak of home wins, Gunter a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for S & S Consolidated, they will host Howe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. S & S Consolidated is facing Howe at the right time seeing as Howe is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
