Soccer Recap: Holdrege Takes a Loss

Holdrege lost against Kearney Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dusters fell 4-2 to the Stars. That's two games in a row now that Holdrege have lost by exactly two goals.

Joshua Janssen and Joshua Wilbur scored both of Holdrege's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Holdrege and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Kearney Catholic, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holdrege will square off against rival Lakeview at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kearney Catholic is set to take on their familiar foe York at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Kearney Catholic's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
