Football Recap: Washtenaw S Piles Up the Points Against North Oakland

There's no place like home for Washtenaw S, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 42-13 victory over the North Oakland Bucks. The high-scoring effort was just what the Saints needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Washtenaw S' defense and their 3.5 sacks. Derek Barnard was especially locked on to North Oakland's QB and sacked him three times. Washtenaw S got some further help from Isaiah Shepherd: he made eight total tackles and snagged two interceptions both of which were returned for touchdowns.

The win got Washtenaw S back to even at 2-2. As for North Oakland, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Washtenaw S and North Oakland will both be playing Grand Valley Christian P the next time they take the field. The Saints will head out to face the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bucks will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 11th.
