Soccer Recap: Charleston Comes Up Short

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Charleston was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against the Mattoon Greenwave, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Mattoon this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-0 defeat on April 8th.

Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mattoon, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleston will host Urbana University at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mattoon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Thomas More at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
