Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Tigers vs. Community Christian Cyclones

Trinity Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Community Christian since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Trinity Christian Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Community Christian Cyclones at 3:30 p.m. Trinity Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Tuesday, everything went Trinity Christian's way against Hilltop Christian as Trinity Christian made off with a 65-40 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Trinity Christian can attribute much of their success to Riley Burnham, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine assists, and Macey Skinner, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Those nine assists gave Burnham a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tamara Holmes, who posted six points.

Trinity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 25 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Community Christian came up short against Gramercy Christian on Monday and fell 42-30.

Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 27-5 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Community Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Everything went Trinity Christian's way against Community Christian when the teams last played back in January, as Trinity Christian made off with a 53-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
