            Baseball Recap: Case Cardinals vs. Bourne Canalmen        
        
		
        
        
            Case never let their opponents score on Monday. They walked away with  a   5-0  victory over the Bourne Canalmen. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Canalmen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.
The result came thanks to  Reid Ulmschneider's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Zachary Kern, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. Those  two  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aedan Borges, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run.
Case's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Bourne, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
 Looking ahead, Case will challenge Westport at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Cardinals 4.1, the Wildcats 3.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Bourne, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Greater New Bedford RVT  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday.
