Basketball Recap: Delasalle Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

DeLaSalle waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 85-72 win over the St. Anthony Village Huskies. Given the Islanders' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Huskies are ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

DeLaSalle pushed their record up to 23-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.3 points over those games. As for St. Anthony Village, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.

DeLaSalle will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Johnson at 7:00 p.m. DeLaSalle has given up an average of 62.4 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. St. Anthony Village does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
