Baseball Recap: West Fork Comes Up Short

After flying high against Iowa Falls-Alden on Thursday, West Fork came back down to earth. The Warhawks fell 8-4 to the Northwood-Kensett Vikings on Friday. Warhawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Vikings since on Friday.

West Fork's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Northwood-Kensett, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Fork is set to take on their familiar foe North Butler at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Northwood-Kensett will challenge rival Rockford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
