Basketball Recap: Lakota East Takes a Loss

Lakota East lost against Lakota West back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lakota East Thunderhawks took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakota West Firebirds. The Thunderhawks have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Lakota East's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Lakota West, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Lakota East and Lakota West should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Lakota East will face off against Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 306 places (56 vs. 362). Similarly, Lakota West (ranked 38th) will meet Oak Hills (ranked 150th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
