Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Coginchaug Regional, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Old Saybrook 4-3 on Monday.

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Coginchaug Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
