            Softball Recap: Richton Rebels vs. Hattiesburg Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Richton lost against Hattiesburg last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Richton Rebels fell  9-4 to the Hattiesburg Tigers. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Eliza Kelly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks.
 On the hitting side, Richton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cartier Daughdill, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI. Another  was  Ainsley Mcawain, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
Richton now  has a losing record of 4-5. As for Hattiesburg,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 7-2.
 Richton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  12-11  win against Bay Springs on the 7th. As for Hattiesburg, they have also  already played their next game,  an  18-0  victory against Tylertown on the 7th.
