Carman-Ainsworth suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after defeating Flint Southwestern Academy. The Cavaliers had been ranked 23rd, but fell to 50.
Powers Catholic extended the longest winning streak in Saginaw Valley - South this week by beating Northern, 54-6. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Carman-Ainsworth takes on Davison. At the moment, the Cavaliers are in second, while the Cardinals are in third.
The Vikings moved up to 456 from 490 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Northern climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Powers Catholic 54-6.
