West Henderson entered their tilt with Smoky Mountain on Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Mustangs 15-0. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by ten runs or more this season.

West Henderson got a massive performance out of Kayden Lyda, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Lyda has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Marley Orr, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

West Henderson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .654. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in ten consecutive matchups.

West Henderson pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Smoky Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

West Henderson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-7 victory against Pisgah on the 24th. As for Smoky Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Franklin on the 24th.
