The home team had won the previous three meetings between Sachem East and Lindenhurst, and Sachem East kept the tradition alive. Sachem East was the clear victor by  a  7-1 margin over Lindenhurst on Monday.  They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Sachem East  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in three consecutive  matches.
Sachem East's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Lindenhurst, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Sachem East 4, Sachem North 3.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Lindenhurst is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Connetquot  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The timing isn't great for the Bulldogs: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home dating back to last season, while the T-Birds have snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
