Basketball Game Preview: Downtown Doral Dolphins vs. St. Brendan Sabres

The Downtown Doral Dolphins will head out to take on the St. Brendan Sabres at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Downtown Doral is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Downtown Doral earned a 52-44 win over North Miami Beach.

Giancarlo Romero was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-5 from long range and almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Paolo Guerrero was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Downtown Doral was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Miami Beach only racked up nine assists.

Meanwhile, St. Brendan came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Stallions to the tune of 71-43. The Sabres have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Downtown Doral pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for St. Brendan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
