AAA Region 1 Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Marquise Henderson Posts Another Huge Game Against Laurens

Starting off the list is Belton-Honea Path's Marquise Henderson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Henderson rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. He was up against Laurens, which might explain his strong game: he put up some impressive numbers the last time he faced them back in September of 2023. Henderson's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Henderson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Westside on Friday. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Henderson saw the Rams), he rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.

Silas Parish Put Up Big Numbers Against Chesnee (Again)

Walhalla was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Silas Parish did his best to prevent it. Parish made a splash, rushing for 34 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 32 receiving yards. He was dominant the last time he took on Chesnee on Friday, so they probably should've seen this coming.

Parish and Walhalla will host Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Razorbacks got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Bobcats, probably because Parish had a solid game then too: he rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
