Volleyball Recap: Assumption Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Assumption can now relate to. They came up short against the Teurlings Catholic Rebels on Saturday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since September 24th.

While Assumption was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-6, 25-19.

Carsyn Fontenot was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last five matches.

Assumption now has a losing record of 20-21. As for Teurlings Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Assumption nor Teurlings Catholic have any future games scheduled.
