Softball Recap: Hendersonville Takes a Loss

Hendersonville has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.75 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They fell 12-9 to the Green Hill Hawks. The Commandos' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Lacey Toth was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Parman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Hendersonville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Green Hill, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hendersonville will challenge Station Camp at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Green Hill will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coffee County Central at 6:00 p.m. on April 9th.
