Basketball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Cedar Mountain

Cedar Mountain put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds to the tune of 83-37. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 26 points or more this season.

New Ulm Cathedral's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock Carlson, who posted four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Finstad, who scored six points.

Cedar Mountain's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for New Ulm Cathedral, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Cedar Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-62 win against Wabasso on the 10th. As for New Ulm Cathedral, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-39 loss against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on the 10th.
