UIC College Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The UIC College Prep Firecats and Woodlawn will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, UIC College Prep blew past ITW David Speer Academy, posting a 57-29 victory at home.
UIC College Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adam Matthews led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Andre Boone, who scored ten points along with eight steals.
Woodlawn can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They breezed by Chicago Military Academy at home to the tune of 68-30.
UIC College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Woodlawn, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5.
